Our Story
Built from a belief in spatial precision
Terralytics was founded in 2020 in Aachen — a city with a centuries-long tradition of technical excellence and a modern data-science ecosystem anchored by RWTH Aachen University. The founding team came from the intersection of geospatial data science and applied agricultural research, and identified a clear gap: European agribusinesses and land managers were sitting on vast, underutilised geodata assets, while the analytical tools to extract value from them remained concentrated in academic and government institutions.
We set out to bridge that gap — building a consultancy that combines rigorous spatial analysis methodology with deep knowledge of EU agricultural systems, policy frameworks, and the practical realities of farm and cooperative operations.
Five years on, Terralytics remains independently funded and operated. We have never sought external investment because we believe the best geospatial consultancy is one that owes its judgement entirely to its clients, not to external financial interests. That independence shapes every engagement we take on.

Terralytics is established at the Technologiezentrum Aachen, drawing on the regional geoscience and data-science ecosystem around RWTH Aachen University. Early work focuses on agricultural GIS methodology development.
First DACH Agribusiness Engagements
First consulting engagements with agribusiness clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Core service areas crystallise: GIS consulting, yield modelling, and remote-sensing analytics.
Yield Prediction Platform Launched
Internal ML platform for crop yield prediction reaches production-ready state. Field-level forecasting capability deployed on EU agricultural data, with in-season update cadence established.
